a G-SEL NETWORK delegation, led by Joy Osomiamhe-O, held strategic engagements with the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu , and the Office of the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Climate Change and Circular Economy Mrs. Titilayo Oshodi MCIPM, FISMN, as part of our ongoing stakeholder consultations.
The discussions focused on collaboration towards two major G-SEL initiatives:
🔹 African Women Leading Clean Cooking (AWLCC) – a pan-African platform advancing African-led policy dialogue, investment, innovation, and women’s leadership to accelerate universal access to clean cooking solutions across the continent. The initiative will be featured during our United Nations General Assembly 81 Side Event in New York this September.
🔹 G-SEL Conference 2026 – our flagship conference, themed “Powering Nations Through a Balanced and Sustainable Energy Pathway,” taking place 9–11 December 2026 at the University of Westminster, London. The conference will bring together governments, development finance institutions, academia, industry, investors, and policymakers to advance practical solutions for energy access across the Global South.
