Our Approach

Introduction

G-SEL Network CIC works to close the energy access gap and build environmental sustainability and economic resilience across Sub-Saharan Africa and the wider Global South. The Network brings together governments, multilateral institutions, corporate partners, and technical experts around practical, financeable projects across three pillars — Energy, Environment, and Education — while continuing to invest in the leadership, policy, and youth-development work that first defined G-SEL.

Our Mission

Our Vision

To be a leading global network advancing energy access and environmental sustainability in the Global South, mobilizing finance, technology, and policy leadership so that clean, reliable energy reaches the communities that need it most.

Our Core Pillars

G-SEL’s work is organised around three pillars: Energy, Environment, and Education.

Our Expert Team

Our Advisory Team

Prince Clem Agba is an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the oil and energy industry. Served as the Honourable Minister of State, Budget and National Planning from August 21st, 2019- May 29th, 2023.

Prince Clem Ikanade Agba is a Nigerian politician, economist, businessman and former federal minister from Edo State. Born on March 28, 1964, he holds a B.Sc. in Economics and master's degrees in Management and Supply Chain Management from the University of Benin and Arizona State University.

Before entering politics, Agba built a career in the oil and gas industry, including senior roles with Chevron Nigeria and international assignments in Houston and Kazakhstan. He later served as Commissioner for Environment and Public Utilities and Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Housing in Edo State, where he was involved in reforms in land administration, urban renewal, drainage infrastructure, and responses to flooding and erosion.

A strategic communications and brand leader with more than ten years' experience helping organisations build their reputation, engage their audiences and deliver sustainable growth.

Throughout my career, I've worked alongside CEOs and executive leadership teams to shape strategy, manage change and lead communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement. My experience spans FTSE 250 businesses, global media, charities and entrepreneurial ventures, giving me a combination of commercial insight and purpose-driven thinking.

I'm passionate about helping mission-led organisations articulate what makes them distinctive, strengthen relationships with their communities and achieve long-term success through clear, authentic communication. I enjoy turning complex ideas into compelling stories, building trusted brands and creating communications that deliver meaningful impact for organisations and the people they serve.

I’m a Partner at Oaklin, an independent, award-winning management consulting firm. We help clients deliver the energy transition, Net Zero, and the infrastructure of the future.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the world’s largest organisations on everything from multi-billion-pound infrastructure projects to market-leading strategies and cutting edge technology. What I enjoy most is connecting the dots between businesses, policymakers, and academia - groups that don’t talk to each other nearly as much as they should.

What really drives me is the intersection of energy, security, and geopolitics. I believe solving climate change and delivering the energy transition should also make us stronger: less dependent on fragile supply chains, less exposed to global shocks, and better prepared for whatever comes next.
