At the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, where the world’s most influential leaders, policymakers, and innovators convene to shape the future, G-SEL stood tall in representing Africa’s voice in the global sustainability dialogue. As discussions revolved around climate action, the green economy, and sustainable development, G-SEL made one message resoundingly clear: Africa is not on the sidelines of the net-zero transition — we are at the core of it. Championing Africa’s Sustainable Future Throughout the week in Davos, our delegation engaged in high-level panels, roundtable discussions, and strategy sessions that spotlighted the continent’s potential to lead the global sustainability agenda. From sustainable supply chains to inclusive finance, and from resilient trade models to energy transition, G-SEL amplified the vision of an Africa that is ready to innovate, invest, and inspire. Our contributions centered on three key pillars: Shaping Global Pathways for 2025–2026 The conversations and connections forged in Davos are already translating into tangible collaborations. Several new partnerships are emerging with international development agencies, sustainability-focused investors, and regional innovation hubs. These alliances will contribute to actionable projects that support Africa’s transition toward a green, inclusive, and technology-driven economy. For G-SEL, participation in Davos was not merely symbolic — it was strategic.Our role is to ensure Africa’s innovation, leadership, and creativity are central to global sustainability efforts, influencing the frameworks and policies that will define 2025 and beyond. Looking Ahead As the world advances toward net-zero, G-SEL remains committed to driving dialogue into action. Through research, partnerships, and capacity-building programs, we continue to empower organizations, governments, and communities to integrate sustainability at every level. Africa’s time is now — and at G-SEL, we’re ensuring that our continent not only participates in the global transition but leads it with purpose, resilience, and innovation.
